Perma Stripe Finishes Rehab on Parking Facilities of One of the Largest Convention Centers in the World, with No Down Time!
Perma Stripe, Florida’s largest and most diverse road and parking lot striping company put the finishing touches on Orange County Convention Center’s servace roads, parking lots, parking garages and signage. The job could only be handled by professionals like Perma Stripe, Headquartered in Central Florida, who recently completed Universal Studios Florida and the new attraction center on International Drive.
The Orange County Convention Center consists of two buildings joined together by a covered pedestrian sky-bridge. The West Building, completed in four phases between 1983 and 1996, is located on the south side of International Drive. The North/South Building, located on the north side of International Drive, was completed in 2003.
In its entirety, the Orange County Convention Center features one of the largest parking facilities in Florida, a facility that presented certain challenges. “The lots had to be done in sections, and when in-between big conventions” said Darrell Chapmen CEO of Perma Stripe “we were able to do the entire job without disrupting the operation of the convention center at all”
Three covered loading docks/173 truck bays“completing a complicated job like The OCCC takes a great team and a lot of planning, roads connectors more than 4000 parking spaces and over 500 signs to install, with the goal of making OCCC shine outside like it does inside” said Darrell Chapman, founder of Perma Stripe “doing a job right is important, doing it consistently over many many acres of parking lots and parking garages is why they call Perma Stripe”“Perma Stripe works on hundreds of condo, apartment complexes, shopping centers, malls and hospitals state wide, but projects like OCCC and Universal Studios, really test our resolve, and we always are equal to any task here in Florida, and have proved that for many years” concluded Darrell Chapman.
